The Wedding of Aimee Meadows and Simon Crowder

Aimee and Simon got married at The Lodge on Loch Goil on Saturday 5th November 2016.

I have to say it was a truly amazing wedding with great class and style. Aimee was wonderful to work with, even though they lived and worked in the Falklands when they booked The Lodge, which is 8,000 miles from Argyll, it was a seamless wedding to organise.

Aimee looked absolutely spectacular on her wedding day, her hair, makeup, shoes, dress and of course to finish the look came the “WOW” veil….

Aimee’s words

“We met at work; Simon was a prosecutor and I was a legal adviser to the court.  I met him when I had been sent to a different court house than the one I usually worked at.

He wore a pinstripe suit and I thought he had a great bottom. He bought me a Chinese for lunch.

I was hooked.

There was no proposal. It was more of a contractual agreement. I had told Simon years earlier that I was a traditional girl and wanted to get married. I harped on about it for ages.

It was the treehouse that first caught my eye. I’m a big kid and a treehouse and the romance of the scenery totally swept me off my feet.

We both knew that we didn’t want the traditional wedding and felt that the lodge was flexible enough to be whatever we wanted it to be.

My dress was by Allure Bridal from a little independent shop in Hoylake, on the Wirral, where I’m originally from. They’re an American designer. It was the first shop I went to and the last dress I tried on.

Alice was pretty formidable when we enquired, and I love a strong woman! To book something from abroad you need to have faith in the person you deal with and she gave me that.

I’m not sure I can describe my experience at the Lodge. Not only is the accommodation and scenery amazing, it’s the fact that nothing is too much trouble, the feeling that everyone genuinely wants to be there, that it’s important to them that you have an amazing time.

Everyone was looked after which I new they would as I had complete faith in Alice and her team.”

Trust” is very important when you are arranging a wedding, you have to let go a bit and trust your wedding planner. This is so imperative to us, the reason being – we know what works and what doesn’t work in the venue that you have chosen.

Arranging any wedding can be very stressful for any couple, but you have to put your faith into the wedding planner, that is what we are here for, to take the pressure from you so you can relax and enjoy your day.

Enjoy the planning..
