I would have to say, this was one of my favourite weddings in 2019.
I met Louise and Errol in October 2017, such a lovely couple of great class and style.
When they came to see me they totally fell in love with the venue and a week later they booked the venue to celebrate their amazing day.
We love a good love story
Errol and Louise met each other in April 2007 at Euston Station in London. They had initially exchanged messages for a few weeks, until deciding to finally meet.
Louise was in town for a few days to look at potential accommodation for a planned permanent relocation (later that year) down to London from her home in bonny Scotland.
The evening was a great success, the couple enjoyed a lovely meal and drinks at a Salsa themed restaurant in the West End and Errol (ever the gentleman) accompanied Louise back to her brother house in Palmers Green.
By the time they arrived at the house, they both got out of the car, Errol expecting “a wee peck on the cheek” to thank him, but instead, Louise wished him goodnight, and went inside.
Poor Errol was left thinking he might not get another date, nevertheless, they promised to stay in touch and Louise returned to Scotland.
They regularly called each other, sometimes staying on the phone for hours at a time. A few months later Errol did get his first kiss, after another evening out but this time in Scotland on a visit to meet Louise again.
Louise finally relocated to London in January 2008 and after a whirlwind romance of 9 years, Errol is a man that likes to take his time.
So on the 7th July 2017 having just arrived back home from a lovely evening out with the family, Errol went down on one knee in the middle of the room and proposed to Louise.
Louise cried tears of joy and had to be reminded to give an answer as she was so overwhelmed and taken completely by surprise. She cried yes Errol I will marry you…
And the rest is history.
Louise’s Words
Getting married at The Lodge on Loch Goil was a dream come true for us, all our friends and family who travelled from far and wide to celebrate our marriage loved the venue and haven’t stopped talking about it since the wedding, we had such a magical time and loved every minute of our day…
Alice’s Words
Since our first meeting in October 2017 till the wedding day in September 2019 (nearly 2 years) I have to say all the organising, phone calls, emails that passed between Louise and myself, I felt we had known each other for many years…
Looking through the images from the photographer Michael, I think Louise and Errol stole the show, their wedding was so classy and stylish and you can see how much in love they are with each other.
That is why I will always remember this wedding.
Working with Louise and Errol to make their wedding so magical was a complete pleasure for me, I thought Louise looked stunning in her wedding dress, Persephone is an amazing creation with thousands of tiny gold leaves which shimmer and move with the bride.
The Wedding dress and Jewellery that Louise wore, was made by a family member Alan Hannah email info@alanhannah.co.uk all his dresses are made here in the UK and I have to say they are totally stunning.
Groom, now let’s not forget about this very handsome fella.
Well, I have to say, I have not seen a man in many years that wore the Highland kilt quite like Errol, he looked amazing…
Remember you don’t have to be Scottish to wear a kilt on your big day.
When you realise you want to spend the rest of your life with someone, you want the rest of your life to start as soon as possible….
